I will be losing my hair as a result of my chemotherapy. This is called alopecia. I've read that hair can grow back a different color and/or texture. Interesting don't you think? I'm adding a poll so you can vote on what color you think my "new" hair will be.

Blonde! I heard blondes have more fun. And come to think of it.... I was a pretty happy blonde.
I vote for "calico" with the feel of angora. :-)
I remember the long dark wavy locks you had as a child...you'll look like Catherine Zeda-Jones, of course that won't be fair to me or Elaine, 'cause we'll be lookin' like Michael Douglas!
Hi Jan!
Pack sent me the information about what you are going through. You and your family are in my prayers constantly!
About your hair ... a friend of mine went through chemo and her salt and pepper straight hair fell out to be replaced with jet black wavy beautiful hair! It's still jet black and it's about 8 years later!
Love you! Your cousin Carol
I think red would be exciting!
I love the new name for your Blog. It reminds me of "the fat lady singing" commercial which was so funny years ago. Of course, it had a double meaning for your Dad, Jason and me. Now it has a double meaning for you, Granite and Homeless are probably purring in overtime. I cast my vote for dark, curly locks.
I vote for anything different! Life is full of adventures like the one you are on now, so maybe your "new" hair will be adventurous! Keep your spirits up.
Maybe it will grow in curly!
Hi, Aunt Jan!
Jay and Christine are thinking about you and sending out lots of good thoughts and prayers.
I would love to see you in something curly with some red tones in it. I think that would really look good on you.
Love Christy
I think you should go curly and have some red in it. I think that would look really good on you.
Love Christy
Better, Better and Better, how appropriate for "The Cat Lady". I have a quote for you from "Morris the Cat" "The cat who doesn't act finicky soon loses control of his owner" right!
Love Ya, Mom
Hi Jan! Sorry for not
writing any sooner but please remember I am a
Sen.Citizen from th old
Country and it took me
longer to understand the
"Blog" but I think I have
it now.
As for the Hair I believe
something different like
Ashblond.
Well your first Chemo week
is over and you did well
I am proud of you.keep it
up.
I guess never to old to
learn and your daily medical update I really
like.
Til next time.
How about the Brittny Spears/Sinead O'Connor look? It's definitely different, and illustrates that old maxim: grass doesn't grow on a busy street.
